Returned to my desk, no work piled on the chair, no messages on my phone, a pleasant surprise. The remainder of the day made up for it, the boss (not my immediate supervisor) had me running all morning, then followed it with additional work for the afternoon. Got to have some numbers ready for the director by noon tomorrow. Seems time for another political project, spending money in hard times to assure some council person has something to claim he has done for his constituents.

Let's see what tomorrow brings.
