Today is everyday..

Am sitting at the keyboard, typing another entry in my journal. I'm drinking my Pilsner Urquell, enjoying a 'real' beer.

Yesterday was a long day. Phone rang at 7 a.m., off to Anza, take Mom shopping, back to 'el ranchito', unload the goodies, then off to the local hardware to by alfalfa pellets for the goats, unload those and place in the feed barrel, feed to big dog, move my motorhome, rest a bit, then start for home.

I like long drives, as it gives me time to think. The sun was setting and a light fog was in the lower elevations, few glimpses of wildlife as animals scurried across the road.

I've been placed in a position at work where I pretty much operating on my own, much a result of budget cuts and lack of time of the supervisors to handle all the tasks that cross their desks. I'll be interviewing and hiring three temp employees to handle a infrastructure data collection project that is overdue. I'll also hire and manage a consultant contract to do another survey. Looks like I'll be collecting and crunching data for the next six months. Now to get a handle on time management.
