Is this the real reason Gaza is being suppresed by Israel?

Google 'gas reserves in gaza' and see what appears... Is there any truth to this? Why did Sharon kill a pro[osal by BG (British Gas) to suply Israel with gas from Gaza? Why buy it when you can sieze it?
