Got another bill in the mail, this time from the ambulance company... wanting money that Medicare and the Supplemental didn't cover.... they will have to wait a while...if you are elderly or have elderly parents, be careful when shopping for a Medicare supplement, most don't cover everything.

EDIT: I just took another look at the bill and was surprised to find out that it cost $892,10 to be transported ONE MILE by ambulance!  And you wonder why health care costs so much. This is a rip off.

Ambulance trips are one of things I had to fight *hard* to get paid by Medicare - even after they had been proven medically necessary.

1) Advise the company to rebill - and do it correctly if they want to get paid.

2) Watch as another company goes bankrupt and they repaint all the vehicles. Again.

I swear, most of the ambulances I see running around right now have five coats of paint on them.
