Marathons...

Today was our day to be held hostage by the Long Beach Marathon. I live on an island, and the runners were blocking all three bridges at some point, and made a simple task such as going to the market an exercise in bumper to bumper traffic. Let's be fair. If this is the Long Beach Marathon, let it run through all the neighborhoods, not just areas around the beach. Who pays for all the Public Works overtime, and all those Police? And we have a city that has cut back library hours?
