Wake up

Our government lately is real sneaky. While the public was distracted by Boston, the House of Representatives ( now that is a oxymoron if there ever was one) resurrected a bill that the public killed a few years ago and passed it. It is CISPA.. It is the end of online privacy. The big problem this time is that they have made all the big players immune from lawsuits, so when Facebook gives our data to the government they don't have to worry about ou taking hem to court. Meanwhile, the government can get your data without a warrant. This will lead to self censorship, in other words you will be afraid to speak freely knowing the government is watching.

I wrote one of my senators and to the president just today on CISPA.

Yes, my hubby has been following this closely and has been writing to our federal representatives and the president about it too.

I keep those phone numbers on speed dial in my cell phone. I think they are getting used to me now.

When the teenager moves out and my retirement kicks in more fully I'll likely revert to my old activist ways of writing letters and making phone calls about the most important issues such as this one.
