gurdonark posted a series of links to some inspirational sites, music, giving, and spoken word. These gave me something to uplift the soul during lunch, as reading the news (if you can call it news, it may be propaganda) is so so depressing.

how can you have faith in our system?

It seems we are in a ever ending spiral into the depths of depravity, with nothing to look forward to but more fear, poverty, food crisis after food crisis, economic ruin, and a political system that in my opinion is beyond repair.

Has the culture of lies and avarice taken over? Are we living an Orwellian nightmare? 

Sometimes I watch movies like Blade Runner or the Matrix and I wonder. Are we living this now or are we seeing a glimpse into what is in store for us?
