life interrupted...

Since I became the 'mom' to two puppies, that has become my life.  Feeding and bathroom duties are every two hours. I can't take them any where, they are not old enough to be left alone, and yesterday, I almost had a third to take care of, as one was outside and I crawled in under the deck and placed it back inside with mom dog.

No, I know this will go on for many more weeks, then comes the task of getting the dogs homes. Then I'll get rid of mom dog, I don't want any more puppies. I'm getting the daddy fixed too. Three dogs are enough, right now the population around here is 12 counting the puppies I can see.

No more dogs.

Interesting reading..

As this household gets regular visits from Jehovah's Witnesses, I, from time to time, read the publications they leave, The latest is a very good analysis of what they call the rise of Babylon the Great, the society we see today. They question the people who place wealth before humanity, they question religions who support warfare, and they talk about Revelations.  Yes, this is but their views, but a lot of what they said rings so true. Are we really in end times?

The rural life...

Things are different here. The sky is hazy today, I can't see my favorite mountain  from my deck.

Speaking of the deck, I am considering that I have some work to do on the deck before the rainy/snowy season is upon us. I need to take up the deck itself, tighten the base framework, and re-attach the planks after turning the weathered side down. This time I'll use deck screws to anchor the planks.

The mobile home here needs re-leveling. I'm going to replace the skirting too. I need to build a new read deck, as the termites have taken their toll on the support timbers.

I need to remove and re-set the base for the flag pole after it was hit by a truck turning around in the yard.  I got to do a lot of soaking before taking a shovel to dig down three feet around the concrete base.

I got a lot of things to do. boredom is not allowed, yet procrastination does sometimes rule.

Hot

Sitting in the shade of a big thunderhead, listening the the sound of jets on high and thunder rolling in the distance. Its clearer now and I can see my mountain, Santa Rosa, as it supports the clouds. No words minced here, it is hot. 90 in the shade, little wind, and it isn't cooling enuf even at night.

I want a breeze, less yellow jackets, and to read my Mother Earth News in peace.
