As L.S.S.I. Takes Over Libraries, Patrons Can’t Keep Quiet - NYTimes.com

They want to 'save' our libraries by reducing library staff to minimum wage and 401(k)s ,,,, what is next?  Corporations are out to run our lives. All hail the oligarchs! Now is the time to unionize the Santa Clarita Library System again.

capitalism sucks

It seems the 'gods' of capitalism have their claws into every aspect of our lives. They want to control every aspect of our lives, from the food we eat to what we are allowed to think. I think public readings of George Orwell's 1984 should be started, maybe a little street theater on the side. It would need some graphic content for the illiterate 'citizens' that will be viewing this spectacle. Maybe Hollywood needs to do a modern day remake, as special effects and visuals could greatly add to the story line. I think I'm going to work on some bumper sticker designs and slogans for my printer.

I'm loving it....

Working from the iPad is so 'free' and liberating. It does what I want, is not overly fancy, and I love the battery life.
