That is what is promised, but who trusts the weatherman. Got to do some things but as usual procrastination may win out.

in search of sun...

Procrastination won. About 11 a.m. I hit the road, heading south, the trees were just changing in Oak Grove and I await their blazing color a bit later. Through Sunshine Summit, down past the glider port and through Warner Springs, a quick detour through Mesa Grande Reservation,  now there was drizzle. Onward to Santa Ysabel, a right turn toward Ramona. Man Street was lively (in Ramona) with classic cars along the way. Onward to Scripps Poway Road, and a downhill to I-15, then south to Mira Mesa Boulevard. Heading west, over the I-895, then to La Jolla, up the hill and I see sun. A brief stop at Torrey Pines, enjoying the beach. Then on up the hill to Del Mar, Solano Beach, Cardiff by the Sea, Encinitas, Leucadia, then Carlsbad.  Then on to South Oceanside, a quick turn at Adventure 16 to head homeward. A stop at a bike shop, buy a tube to repair a flat, but then buy a set of new wheels for my road bike... a bargain I could not pass up.   Such was my day.
