the supreme court says habeas corpus is important... but there are the critics...

The critics are looking for a way to steal it back... citing the need for 'national security'. All I can say to that is if the case against these detainees cannot stand the scrutiny of our legal process than they evidently aren't guilty. Give them a fair trial, show moral charter and if they are acquitted, then apologize and send them back to where you found them. We are a nation of laws, and our justice system is derived from the concept of being innocent till proven guilty.

Justice for all... and I mean all. If they are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, then deal with them.
