Not as pretty as some I've had cross my path. The red ones are beautiful. This one looked older, it was about 6 inches across.

6 inches. That is a big spider to cross one's path. I'm glad they live down your way and not up here. I don't like to kill spiders but that one gives me pause.

EEK! That would scare the hell out of me. It was enough that we had a large mouse in our house at about 2am a couple days ago and - maybe the same one - the next morning. There was also a big bushy spider on the toilet paper roll last night. I left it alone but am still scared of the toilet paper in that bathroom.
