Three A.M.
Nov. 7th, 2002 06:48 pmThe phone rings, it's Mom, she's sick and alone. Not wanting a repeat of the last episode with the ulcer, I get up, get dressed, and drive 125 miles. She was sick, nothing too serious, but I stayed with her till I was sure she was alright. Drove back home, took a nap to make up for lost sleep, and will make my trek to work tomorrow. BTW, is it normal for old people to be so opinionated? My Mom will not win any contests on winning friends and influencing neighbors, she's alienated too many people with her sharp tongue. Gotta work on that. "Bringing up parents in their twilight years", good title for a book.
