friday....

Yesterday the weather was the story. Nothing like a commute filled with high winds, downpours, and stray funnel clouds. I kept looking east toward the area where the first funnel cloud was, proceeding toward Temecula in heavy traffic. 

Today I took off work, using severe weather as my excuse. I'm home to keep Mom from going nuts, as she hears one little thing and panics.  I've been bored to tears and this is the first time I've been online today.

Rain, rain, and more rain. I want sun.

Friday night...

Another day, wet and cold, no tornadoes though. Tomorrow I may try to visit Idyllwild, it's garage sale weekend there. There also should be snow! Thank you severe weather.

The warm fire will wait till tomorrow morning, early. Tonight I'll add a few blankets and survive.

Memorial Day calls for a visit to Arlington West at Santa Monica Pier. I'll also make a stop at Riverside National Cemetery to say a prayer over the grave of an old room mate Donald Slikkerveer. . .

This weekend offers so much to do. There are Memorial Day events, garage sales, fund raiser breakfasts, pictures to take, things to clean, things to put away, places to return to, graves to mourn over, people to remember, be they soldiers or friends.
