this is why our government is messed up..

There is a mental illness that infects those in government. It is demonstrated by the lengths they will go to to keep other government personnel from reading the leaked diplomatic cables that were disclosed by Wikileaks. This article show the thinking of the Air Force.  I find it absurd that these cables have become so scary to those in power that they will go to such lengths to block access.

The American Empire is history...we will wake some morning to discover we live in a Third World country (we are almost there) and find that no one has any respect for our opinions. This article gives a few points to consider.

maybe I can find something positive..

Christmas is coming, it was quite evident last night. The lights, the shoppers, okay I admit, I cannot find too much positive seeing as what was once a celebration of the birth of Christ has become a celebration in conspicuous consumption. May we all take the time to remember the real reason for the season, do something for someone else, and make that part of paying it forward all year.

cloudy...

A gray day, low clouds, a feel of moisture in the air. Got a few things to do today, check with dematology about an appointment and give thought to when I want to do a set of fasting labwork. 

Today I'll shop for a new headset for my new bike project, check for a package that is in route, and maybe do some chores around el ranchito. BTW, yesterday I found out that an old friend had passed away,  when I got a call from the lawyers handling the estate. So now the lot next door (2-1/2 acres with a view) is on the market. Need land?

I got a few things I had planned done, and went to look at the ocean as a result. Looks like the weather is not going to be wonderful for a while.
