Something for the season...

 I just read this letter and want to share it. I'm not overly religious but it strikes a cord even in my spirituality...take time to read it and think. If you are devout, really think about what is being said. Look around you and realize that the material world is not what matters but how you interact with your fellow man. This is the season when we should care a bit more about others, not ourselves, when we should pay it forward, we need to share, even the simplest thing, such as a smile. Posted on Dreamwidth

The christmas spirit isn't alive in the woods of New Jersey

Was tipped to this story and watched the video (since removed from YouTube but available here)   We need to change how we see other people. If this was closer I would be first to replace the poor mans bike, and to at least offer him some shelter. He is a victim of a system that does not value humanity but values the bottom line. Think about this video and this man when you are out in public, we are all human, and deserve a second or even a third chance. The inhuman behavior of these youth are but a symptom to a greater problem we have in society, let us work for a solution. Posted on Dreamwidth

Feinstein does a big favor for some powerful farmers

Water in California has always been a hot topic. Now Diane Feinstein has decided to make matters worse. She has weakened restrictions on sale of subsidized water by farmers to brokers who in turn will sell to cities and counties in Southern California..  Water for smaller farmers that they won't get... a new water war.  She must have gotten a lot of money and right now is feathering her nest while a lot of people get fleeced.
