A quick post lunch post

Bush is in the Mideast rattling swords and selling weapons to dictators. Its snowing in Maine right now, a lot. We are going to have a depression, you notice I didn't use the word recession, that is too mild. The economy is on the verge of collapse, so the time is right to start thinking about what kind of society we want when this one collapses.

The weather is improving, the economy is getting worse, prices are getting high and will go even higher, how many raises will you see next year? Are you ready to retire? There are a lot of questions that will be answered far too soon for most people's comfort. $100 a barrel? Let's try for $200 a barrel. Remember, what do you want to do with corn? Do you want biofuel or food, that is the question. Enough rambling, time to get back to work.

We aren't getting any raises this year and have just (last Friday) had major layoffs. Personally, I expect to be among the unemployed before the end of the year.

I'm in absolute agreement with you on the rest, too.
