Recently Sheriff's deputies have come under fire for just being on the reservation which they have a right to patrol. The 'chief' for the tribe made some very controversial statements about the sheriffs department and their raiding of drug labs on the reservation. Local fireman have been shot at while fighting fires on the reservation. There have been local crimes in Hemet and San Jacinto where the criminals flee onto the reservation. No, locally Soboba is considered a dangerous place to go as people have been robbed at gunpoint there. Not over the top at all.
