curmugeonI'm getting ready for the future, my future. I'm embarking on a journey, a long journey, into the world of retirement. There will be changes, some pleasant, some painful. For starters, my income will be smaller, a
lot smaller. I'm getting a good pension, but I won't be rich. I'll have the luxury of time, lots of time. How I use that time is important. I may work. I'll do some fishing. I'll grow a garden. I'll do some hiking. I'll ride my bike. I may have a worked out a way to have health insurance, I'm working on that. I won't be getting Social Security
(there is a provision in the law that means I will not get much, if anything from them). I'm too young for Medicare, I don't want to resort to MediCal. I'm going to dispose of one car, I don't need two. I'll discard and dispose of a lot of 'toys', so watch for my 'toy sale'. There will be changes. More to follow....
