I can remember times in my past, things that are still there in my memory. Like Wolf River Apples at Aunt Mamies... or stalking brook trout on Alder Creek... the smell of apple blossoms, sitting in the kitchen of my grandparents, my grandfather and his pipe. Rhubarb pie... going out with my Uncle Jimmy lobster fishing off Winter Harbor Maine in a stormy Atlantic... making sure to tend the tiller to keep the bow into the huge waves... running down the dock and diving into the lake at a friends cabin.. a winter day at Lake Tahoe... a mid-summer hike into the high sierra... standing near the Bristlecone Pines in the White Mountains at over 12,000 feet... camping in Oak Creek Canyon near Sedona... taking a bike ride from San Diego to Tijuana and through Mexico and back to the San Diego... memories are there.. vivid visions of good times... I've lived... a lot.  Maybe more later...

It seems a good thing to remember back. It is an honoring of the past. I've been meaning to write down some memories of my own. Perhaps, that, too, is the honoring - allowing the time to do so, to reflect and bring forth.
