This is about something I remember from just after 9/11...a that time there was a free national parks day announced for Veterans Day weekend.. I spent the day at Zion National Park... it wasn't crowded, and was very enjoyable. The Park Service has just announced the 'free days' for 2011.
If you have a chance, take some time and discover the parks. It will give you a respite from this crazy world and let you renew your spirit.
p.s. Also, if you are 62 or older, you can obtain a lifetime free pass for $10. It is the Senior Pass. If you have a handicapped hanging tag or some other evidence of disability they have a free pass for you too.
