interesting day... so far

This morning I went to San Diego County to Sky Mountain Institute for a workshop on solar cooking.. The workshop had been organized by Sky Mountain and by a Meetup group of solar cooks from the greater San Diego area. There was a good presentation by Jim La Joie , the designer and maker of his solar cooker and a workshop where each of us made a cooker for our own use. We enjoyed good fellowship, and good food, as a lunch prepared by some of the more experienced cooks was shared.

My cooker is built, and I will make my first dish tomorrow.
