I just read the final wording of the NDAA and in Section 1032 there is now a paragraph saying that the indefinite detention by the military does not apply to United States citizens. So some compromise was made to stop a veto.
The other stuff is still going forward.... yeah, Congress wants to try for a new all-time lower approval rating.
