As a MA resident, I agree with the decision not to read him his Miranda rights as the 2nd suspect was pulled out of his hiding spot.
I believe he will be read his rights, and may have already had that done at the hospital.
At the time, he was apprehended, he wouldn't have comprehended that his rights were read anyway. He was losing so much blood, that many watching worried he wouldn't survive.
Also, he & his brother were armed, and had killed already that day, and threw bombs & grenades at the police. It was a national security matter to subdue the suspect at that time.
