Life's a Beach, or so the bumper sticker says, but in my case it's an island. Rode my bike to the local liquor store to buy my weekly lotto ticket, but the system was down, so, a long ride home, along the seawall, past the yachts, the beautiful gardens, people eatting at the yacht club, watching the sailors in the channel. Looking toward the ocean I can see Catalina Island 26 miles across the sea. Tonight you could forget you live in a large city, and get lost in dreams of sailing to far off lands. You see the small fish glitter in the water, and the larger fish feeding on the bounty. Temps were about 72 degrees, slight breeze from the west. It was and is peaceful, next time I'll bring the camera.
