Another 'vote for none of the above' election...

I truly hope that the Democratic Party gets a good presidential candidate this coming 2004. Joe Lieberman announced his candidacy, someone who supports war with Iraq, very un-Democratic. Don't the democrats have a true leader that can stand on his convictions and offer us an alternative to four more years of George dub-ya?

Peace Demonstrations

We now have a weekly event in Long Beach, on the 5200 block of 2nd Street. We had a large march in Los Angeles, but we will not see widespread demonstrations till we see either a return of the draft, or body bags unloaded at our local military airfield. To most people, this concept of war has not hit home. My co-workers all missed the Vietnam era, they did not know those who died, they live in a bubble and think it will not happen again. Surprise, history always repeats itself, and in particular war. The generals just want one more chance to test another theory or try another tactic.
