In search of america...
Aug. 4th, 2003 08:22 pmI find it hard today to relate to the current political climate. I now have a strange feeling that we have been lied to for much longer than many of us realize. The Cold war was just a way of conditioning us to the concept of 'us vs. them'. We fell for that lie hook line and sinker. We are finally reaching a point where the Orwellian dream is slowly becoming reality. Maybe Orwell was a prophet, Joseph Heller could see the light, Arundhati Roy is another visionary. Hunter S. Thompson says it well, stating that we are seen as the Nazi's of the 21st century. We have become the lowest of the low, the most hated regime on earth.
The media has betrayed us, corporations use us, we have no-one to blame but ourselves. We have a public brainwashed by Fox News. We have less than 40% of the population electing a slate of electors (yes, your vote don't count) who don't have to vote as they pledged, but usually do, for a president. We can have one winner for the popular vote and another outcome when the 'electoral' vote takes place.
I come from a family that voted always, be it a national or local election. We voted because we felt we had an obligation, we had to make our choices and we hoped that others felt the same way and 'our' candidate won.
For the sake of humankind, for your future and our children's future, please vote every time you have a chance, vote your conscience, vote with your heart. Work for a true democracy, as the time is now and that concept is in peril. The Illuminati, the Skulls, the Tribe at Bohemian Grove, (and all the other secret societies of the elite class be whatever named) they all want control. They have the machinery (the military), they have the control of the economy (the WTO and IMF), they have their collective hands on your throat. Now is the time for the real citizens to stand up and say NO! No to the ways of conquest and greed that now lead our country.
We need a regime change in 2004. If victorious, we need to push to change the rules to a true one person, one vote. Let the voice of 50% plus one be heard. VOTE.
