It seems the agenda of the Republican Party is war, unilateral conflict to
insure that the military industrial complex is fed (dollars and manpower)
while poverty rises at ever increasing rates. Increased poverty means an
ever expanding pool of potential recruits. Expect a lot of promises tonight,
more of that 'compassionate conservatism', more 'drunken cowboy bravado',
more 'Bushit' stacked as high as it can possibly be.

I wonder when people will start questioning the leadership and start
thinking of the consequences of war. It is odd that the same people who plan
war never have served themselves.

As for the keynote by Miller...

He was a segregationist when he served Lester Maddox, is still a Dixiecrat,
and doesn't deserve to be a Democrat.
It appears that those people unhappy with Roe v. Wade have a new weapon. This bill and it's companion in the Senate can be used to make such appeals prohibited by law.

I just changed my web page to reflect what I see as the first salvo in the attack on our personal freedoms. Our government is based on a series of checks and balances, and these are being threatened.
