Winter rains and some snow..
Dec. 5th, 2004 02:08 pmThis weekend was a rain-out for me. Made it to Anza (4,000 feet above sea level) and got a few chores done before the snow started falling on the surrounding hills. I made it out of there, a mix of rain and snow on the windshield, as I drove the highway to lower elevations.
Killed the remainder of Saturday goofing off, doing nothing in particular as the rain moved in and started to fall. Got home, and it was cold, and wet. The furnace was going all night, and I slept well, considering. This morning the phone rang, but it was too cozy to break out into the cold to answer, I looked at the time 10 a.m.) and figured it was a good time to get up.
Went out for breakfast (11 a.m.), but it seemed that every one had the same idea, and not wanting to wait, grabbed some fast food and returned home. Have had the furnace going, the cd's playing, and computer(s) on since then.
Now to do a bit of housework, the place is a mess and I need to thin out my accumulation of papers, magazines and miscellaneous. Now to avoid the procrastination syndrome and actually get something done. Or, I could go roam around IKEA...
