This week has been marked by senseless war, political rhetoric, and assorted local bullshit. Yesterday was sort of a mental health day, I woke up not wanting to go to work, yet knowing that staying home wasn't going to solve anything. I did accomplish a few minor things, including exchanging a few recently purchased pairs of Levis that were of lesser quality since they have gone offshore with their production.

Made a judgment call yesterday, that I do have to work out more. I want to live a productive retirement and to do that I need to take better care of me, so I will be on the bike this weekend.

Senator Rick Santorum was mouthing off the other day about Islamic Fascism, and saying it was a threat as great or not greater than our fight against  Well Rick, I consider you Christian Fascism as much of a threat. Is all this rhetoric what we have to listen too till the Messiah comes and sorts it all out?

Speaking of war, the Israelis seem to have it down to an art. How many more years do we have to excuse their behavior and listen to their stories of persecution while at the same time witnessing their persecution of Palestinians?  Why should they wonder why Hamas and Hezbollah have gained such a foothold in the Arab world when the West has allowed the persecution to persist and poverty and uncertainty become fixtures in the everyday lives of the people of Palestine or Lebanon.

No, I'm not pro-Israel, far from it. I guess that I will never recognize the legitimacy of Israel as it was once a peaceful place till the British mucked it up and let Zionist guerrillas take over Palestine.
The actions by the Israeli Army have now become criminal and I say that the United States Government support of this war is criminal also.  The Israeli government is destroying Lebanon. Shame on Israel and their Zionist leaders. If this is an example of Israel's foreign policy they are now acting worse than the Germans of WWII.
