I guess the populace is so dumb or so bent on self destruction that we cannot conceive the feeling of living in peace. I'm becoming more cynical as I see through the lies, yet there are many who see the lies as truth, and that hurts. I guess my plans have to include living through times when our economy will fail, and working harder to be ready to live away from the mainstream and try to live as far off the grid as possible. I see no light at the end of the tunnel, only the proverbial train heading our way, and the collision is imminent.
Arnold talks the talk of a conservative, but is mortgaging the next generation a real solution? The State of California is still in debt, and they still haven't faced the fact they have to pay for it someday. Dubya is doing the same in Washington. He fights a war and pays for it by running printing presses at the mint. They use voodoo economics to move money around (like using the surplus in the Social Security Trust Fund) to make th numbers smaller. Think how large 3 trillion dollars is. It is a huge pile of money. A billion is 1000 million and a trillion is a 1000 billion. We may not feel it directly but if you go abroad, be aware of the cost. Even the Canadian Dollar has benefited from our debt. It was once only 70% of the value of a U.S. dollar, now it is approaching 90%. No, it is not getting more valuable, the dollar(US) is getting worth less.
Oh well, back to enjoying my cheap lunch.
