Why all the sudden in depth examination of the life of Clarence Thomas? Have they forgotten the Anita Hill testimony, or the recent Supreme Court ruling on "partial birth" abortions? He is a small man with a small but twisted mind, who holds women in contempt. Hey the Supreme Court just said that women cannot be trusted with decisions involving their own bodies, as they might not be thinking clearly in such a stressful time in their lives. Oh well, welcome to the Theocratic States of America.

It seems that Secretary of Defense Gates was the first to reveal a change of attitude.... when he told the Iraqi government that we were not providing troops forever. Then there have been other hints that Dubya's minions have been slowly admitting that a pullback is possible after summer 2007. Maybe we'll see a $100 billion appropriations bill with some sort of benchmarks for the Iraqi forces to meet.

It seems where ever you go in Iraq, we are getting into a moral morass that will taint the military for decades to come. This story is typical, as the detainee is 'softened up by the locals' then interrogated by the Americans. Then we wonder why a nut would consider killing 32 innocent students and faculty in a college. He saw nothing wrong, it is standard operating procedure in Iraq.
