Its late or early, depends on when you start your day. Got a lot to do today, as usual Mom sets the agenda. Yesterday I went to see one of my favorite retreats, Mt Palomar and was shocked by the devastation the recent fires wrought on this peaceful place. The state park is closed, much damage there, it will take decades for it to return to what it was.  Much was lost in the fire besides houses, places of solitude were reduced to ashes.

Tierra Miguel survived. The fire went around the farm. I know [livejournal.com profile] kyburg will be happy for that.
I've renewed my interest  in sustainable agriculture and community supported agriculture. I was re-introduced to this through [livejournal.com profile] kyburg and have since looked to ways I can find good food, locally grown, that is organic. Just because you live in the city doesn't mean you cannot eat well and healthy. I'm doing research on CSA now, selecting a grower I can support that has a pickup location near where I live and work. This will be a time and energy saver and help keep the small farmer going. Remember, think globally, act locally.

BTW.... this is available everywhere.... just look.
