Yes...I'm still among the living

 Been very ill, the Rhino Virus loves me. This time the rhino virus has added a new twist, aches and pins. Doc says I'll live, more than that I'll live two to three more weeks with the stuff.. it doesn't give up the fight easy. I got another visit to the Doc tomorrow but mostly for routine stuff, a lot of blood work and the usual poking and prodding. Now to survive a day in the office....

Another doctor visit looms on the horizon. I'll be fasting for this one.
Got some labs to do before I visit and check with the doc. I'm tired,
frustrated, feeling depressed, this bugs offers all these great
symptoms.... I hope I survive.

Sometimes the wisdom of co-workers is amazing. One of my Egyptian
co-workers suggested I get some black coriander seed oil. This stuff
supposed to help my respiratory problems. Hey, ancient Egyptian remedies
sound good right now.

In the international arena...

Templehof is closing...  I have a lot of memories of that place. I arrived there in the summer of 1969, and left on a cold winter day in January of 1972.  I lived there, I worked there, it was my home away from home while I worked as a 'spook' (a spy/intelligence analyst specialist) during the cold war.  It was there I experienced the Nixon years, a plunging dollar, wage-price freeze, and I saw the Berlin Wall.  A lot of memories.

Seems that good help is still hard to find. I asked that some woodbe delivered today, it wasn't. I gave clear instructions for delivery, they still didn't arrive. We'll see how it goes.

are we happy yet?

 They say that middle age is depressing. Things supposed to get better in our 'golden years'. I wonder....
