I've 'boycotted' enough. So our Russian masters lack social skills and an understanding of Western culture... Hey, there is no such thing as a free lunch (unless you happen to be homeless in the Santa Ana Civic Center) so I'm back.

I LJ booked my blog the other day, I also exported the content to my other site. I even went as far as opening an account on Insanejournal, but I may not use that as it isn't much better than here, also I'm quite sane, contrary to some people's opinions.

Let's discuss the concept of 'free' in the business sense......

anti-war protests in the O.C....

Here is what the anti-war movement was up against on March 19, 2008 in Orange California... 

So, maybe the next time there is an anti-war demonstration we just need to add a few thousand anti-war voices.... we cannot be silenced by such intimidation.

the other day...

I posted some less than complementary comments and pictures of some 'patriots' that were counter demonstrating against Code Pink. and the only comments I got were from some anonymous poster...BTW, anonymous comments get screened and then deleted. 

Sarah Jane Olson...

Hey, the SLA is history, much the same way of other radical groups that roamed California in the 60's.  Now the Los Angeles Police Protective League (the cops union) is critical of her release.  Does she now have to fear being killed by some person sympathetic to the League's views? Let's hope that the police show respect for our system of justice.

State Parks and the Governator...

It seems that the Governator (Arnuld) doesn't like it when you disagree with him. He sacked his brother in law (chairman) and fellow actor Clint Eastwood (vice-chairman) for being too good at their jobs, being true stewards of the state parks system. He was also a bit pissed that they opposed his push for a toll road through the San Onofre State Beach Park in Southern California. Now we can watch and see what two political hacks he appoints to those posts.

It's funny when he says he's not influenced by special interests, then lets the special interests dictate what he does. 

I especially liked the comment made by Bobby Shriver, who said that Arnuld might be wise to bring a food taster to the next family gathering. Maria Shriver did not comment.

road trips..

Sometimes road trips need to be a challenge. I've got dreams and ambitions, and some trips I want to take. Dreaming doesn't cost money, add to the carbon footprint, or take the time some of my dream roadtrips take.

Ponder these...

A drive to Goosebay Labraador.... I was there once, but by plane.

A drive to St. John's Newfoundland.....I want to go as far east as possible by car. And, while I'm at it take a side trip to St. Pierre and Miquelon

ah, the things to do after I retire....
