Uneventful commute, maybe there was an exception, the motorists who had a seeming desire to be center punched as they pulled out in front of me on city streets.
John McCain is in town to speak to the Hispanic Business Round Table. Hey, this is Orange County, about as far to the right as you can get. Check out my blog entry a while back about the right-wing-nuts that counter demonstrated on the anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.
I'm going to try to get out at lunch and take some pictures, I need the practice and people are such inviting targets. I need to also see what is happening with the planned pastrami restaurant nearby.
Got to pay a visit to the local catholic church to get some dimensions for some potential street improvements.
Looking forward to the weekend, a few days away. It does help that after working a long series of 9 hour days, I get every other Friday off.
The sound of the parrots outside tell me its getting light. Been listening to John Prine, the man is so insightful in his lyrics, even when poking fun at the human animal and all its weird behavior.
More later ... maybe.

day dreams..
Mar. 25th, 2008 11:07 amSaw a post today that reminded me of a past event. I remember riding my
bicycle from Jenner to Fort Ross and back. That is not a trip for the
faint of heart, as it is not the ideal route for a bicycle. The road is
too narrow. However, a trip to Fort Ross is something to dream about. I
also remember eating fresh Dungeness crab I bought in Bodega Bay at a
picnic area near the Russian River. That is a trip for the future.

a beautiful mind...
Mar. 25th, 2008 11:50 am To quote Barbara Bush.... and you wonder why Dubya is such an ass...
Why should we hear about body bags and deaths," Barbara Bush said on ABC's "Good Morning America" on March 18, 2003. "Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

the last gasp..
Mar. 25th, 2008 12:57 pmLunch is almost over... posted a few pictures I took during my walk at lunch. Heard an amusing voice as I walked by the gathering homeless across the street... lyrics from the old hit... 'walk on by' ... sung by a black woman (not Dionne Warwick) having a deep conversation with herself...
