It looks like Spring has arrived in Julian, but the full floral display are weeks away.  This was but one location along the highway. A good few days of warm weather should mark the start of flower season.

I went on a quest to find signs of spring today. From Anza to Sunshine Summit, no sign. Dropped by the store there to get some soft drinks and continued the quest. Warner Springs had a smattering of poppies, but a cold wind didn't feel like spring.  On to Santa Ysabel, along 79 South, a few more flowers. Up the hill to Julian, some poppies, and Jonquils... spring isn't far away.

There was a classic motorcycle rally going on, a lot of vintage iron on the road.

Now I'm home, fresh Collard Greens in the pot (courtesy of my friendly hippy, Steve). Talking to Steve I discovered he has an old Nissan 2000 roadster behind the barn. I told him it may be fun to get it running again. I'll have to take some pictures of his personal 'junk yard', including a 1968 VW bus in psychedelic paint. I told him we need to convert some of this stuff to cash on eBay motors.

More later.. maybe
