The day started well, a lot of stuff to do, trees to cut and brush to haul. Did that till about noon, then departed to do some exploring. Idyllwild was beautiful as usual, nothing inspiring me to take a picture. Onward to Beaumont, and a stop at Home Depot to get my trimmer line so I can eliminate some more weeds. Down the freeway, toward Palm Springs, you can see and feel how the poor economy has hit that town. A lot of vacant stores, a lot of vacancies at the hotels and motels, but it is the 'off' season, with the heatwave of summer arriving. Onward towards Rancho Mirage, home of wealth, fame, and dead presidents.  This is a town of the rich, for the rich, the poor be damned. Deliveries were being made at the Rover dealer, they even had a new Rover marked down to $99,000 on the front row, such a deal. Bentleys were cruising along SR 111, all the way to Palm Desert, home of El Paseo.  This is the fantasy land of the rich and famous and a great place to people watch. From the valet parking, Gucci, St. John, Coach, etc. The shops have the 'best' for those who don't need to ask the price. I then made the turn onto SR 74 and made the climb up Seven Level Hill  to Pinyon and on to Anza.

With the advent of the bloated IE 8, I took the Opera option. A good browser, simple, clean, and easy to use.
