Spiderman....

This small tarantula decided to make a grand entrance and was found just inside the barn door. Seems he liked the barn and I was not able to change his mind, so now, as I clean the barn, I have to be aware that I have a tarantula residing somewhere inside.

Notice how hairy he is, a typical tarantula. The blue hose is about 5/8 inch in diameter for scale. In general this species is quite docile, and has to be really disturbed before they get defensive. BTW, they can jump quite a distance when angry. I've seen them jump about 2 feet straight up to escape a predator

the 4th is almost over, now for a 5th...

A hot day, after a sleepless night, I slept in. I woke to 100 degrees, decided that inside was best, paid a few bills, they are ready to be mailed. It will be hot again tomorrow. I did whack a lot of weeds this afternoon, and got about another acre to destroy. Another day... tomorrow.
