Good Morning...

Woke early to the sound of puppies scratching at the patio door, the sun wasn't quite up but I watched at the horizon was aglow, then the clouds shared their color. Sun is now streaming over the mountain, puppies have been fed, coffee is heating, and I'm online.

Today...

Finally I start disposing of stuff (the transfer station is open today), and sorting through the (30 year accumulation in the)  barn. I wish I had a pig right now, as I plan on emptying some old food that was canned (in glass jars/pressure canning) from about 7 years ago. The last time I raised a pig was in 1980, and I fed it good grain, and got the sweetest pork for the freezer. I'll reuse the apple juice to feed the hummingbirds, just add a bit of color. That might work, no need to waste it. The compost heap will be happy. I'll add some worms and should be in good shape.

Sci-fi becomes reality..

How does a tongue eating parasite sound? It invades its host, eats the tongue and hangs on to catch anything passing down the gullet in order to survive....

Poverty...

I suspect that 2009 will show a greater increase in poverty,,, I know too many people who lost jobs.
