It has been an interesting 24 hours. We had thunderstorms all night, and sleep was fitful. The thunder was loud and long, the kind that shakes the house. The skies right now are still gray, and thunder can be heard in the distance, however a promise of better weather is visible on the southeast horizon, where the sun and blue sky can be seen. It will be an interesting day.

There are few musicians I can listen to for hours, Mark Knopfler is one. Who do you listen to?

Seems the storms have moved west and right now Temecula and Murrieta are getting hit hard with severe lightning storms. Somewhere above me in the clouds I can hear a large plane, now I can tell it is a helicopter, attempting to travel back to base from somewhere in the dessert. It is one of those large water dropping copters, and is probably on it's way to a fire. Rough weather to be flying, buff the numerous lightning strike have started many small fires that need to be snuffed out.

More later as Southern California copes with severe weather.
