Doonesbury...

NPR has an article today on Doonesbury. I can recall many a time in the life of the comic strip when it hit close to home and other times it provided inspiration. A good read. Yes, I grew old with the comic strip.

this day....

I got going today, starting by changing one flat bicycle tire, and then delivering one bicycle I sold to my friend Steve. He's going to use the bike when he takes Amtrak to Seattle.

I then took a trip to Lake Hemet and despite high winds, did manage to take a ride along the lake, coping with the puddles, washouts, and sme mud. I used one of my salvaged bikes, and made a decision to use my Gary Fisher next time, technology has made bicycles better since my older Trek was made in 1992.
