The politician have it all wrong... these are the safety net... the 'crisis' is not really a crisis but anther case of 'the big lie', the lie told by talk radio and the other infotainment outlets that call themselves news outlets...if a fix is needed, it is real easy.. just raise the cielong and collect social security taxes on all income, no limit at the top. Up to this point it has been the burden of the working class, enjoyed by all, but a program that the rich have not contributed to, thus why should they have any say in this issue?

I can tell you that this safety net works.. it isn't perfect but it has helped. I still have medical bills to pay, but it is only a fraction of what it would cost without it.

The forces of hate are out fundraising now...

It the name of protecting America from Sharia law some hate groups are sending out fundraising letters... so let these groups be called what they really are racists, islamophobes, hate mongers.... notice who is hosting this effort and the names of the politicians involved. How the media is duped by phony data and phony science

Seems the big uproar over the adult services section on Craigslist was based on junk science and a person who wanted to enhance her career and create a problem that didn't exist...

There is a lot of this going on in the media, junk science or self righteous groups who want to take down and organization for political or personal gain. An example is junk journalist Andrew Briebart and the Acorn videos.. And recently his attacks on Planned Parenthood. The media is the biggest problem, as they have cut real news and as a result they take this junk and publish or broadcast it without any fact checking. I guess that what I learned in journalism would not get me a real job, as I don't lie well enough or don't have a pretty face.

The result is we have a dumb electorate that has been fed this crap, and ote for candidates who keep the 'big lie' alive in their speeches.

No, as a republic we are doomed, as the mediocrity and dumbness is the norm, and I don't see the attacks on education as anything more than an act to keep the dumb and dumber people voting. Being intelligent is rare these days, as the generations who had a good education and good moral character are slowly dying out and those who were raised under this crap become the new leaders.

No, I guess I have to consider some time in the future I will have to leave these United States or become. An outlaw... I wonder how many places will give me pitical asylum?
