and it all comes down to this....

 The health care system in this country is beyond the reach of those who need it the most. I have health care but I have the means to pay for it,, I see over $450 a month going out for my health care. But there are many who struggle to live and for them there are choices to be made, do tou pay the rent or pay the doctor? Do you eat of go see a doctor? Do you suffer in pain and in silence? This man made a conscious choice and chose to rob  a bank just to be arrested, because he felt that at least he would get some medical care in prison.  Yes, we take better care of criminals than we do our citizens.

There was a man here in Anza who used to  purposely get busted with marijuana every so often so he could spend the cold winters in the count jail... he also mentioned how he used that time to get his medical problems tended to. Another friend was jailed on an animal cruelty charge and while there received treatment for his heart condition that he could not otherwise afford. It is not so far fetched as some may think.

summer solstice..

 It's here...summer has arrived. It is already hot and its early in the day. Preparing for a long hot summer. Any bike riding I do will be in the near dawn hours when temps are reasonable. Waiting for my scrap person, and we will see what, if anything I get from it. If it gets hauled away I'll be happy. I'm thinking of some solar cooking today. Either way it is very hot.

Edit: The junk man came and figures about two ton to haul away, and I'll make about $300... and he's interested in my motorcycle too. So it looks promising.
