I've been into cycling since the late 60's... here is a shot from 1972.. I was a lot thinner then and the gray hair hadn't arrived.

Growing Up!

How many schools (up until college) have you attended, in all?

1. Franklin Consolidated School, Franklin, ME... 1st grade through 6th grade
2. Sycamore Elementary School, Orange, CA... 6th grade  
3. Adams Elementary School, Santa Ana, CA ...6th grade
4. Sycamore Elelemntary School (again)... 6th grade
5. Portola Junior High School, Orange, CA 7th through 9th grade  
6. Orange High School, Orange, CA... freshman year...  
7. Villa Park High School, Villa Park, CA .... junior and senior year.

How many states have you lived in before the age of 18? How many countries?

I lived in three states... Maine.. 1947 through 1959  then a brief stay in Mississippi, for a month in 1959 
and finally California

I lived in only one country, the United States of America

Have you ever seen the hospital where you were born -- where is it/what's it's name?

Yes. It was Ellsworth General Hospital in Ellsworth Maine. It has since been replaced by a more modern hospital.

Do you plan to live in the same state in which you were born, or somewhere else?

I live in another state... I was born in Maine and now live in California. Plan was not an option.

Do you still talk to people from elementary school, middle-school or high school? 

No, unfortunately I've lost touch with all but a few people and I haven't talked to any of them in years,

weather...

I've been warned... winter supposed to arrive on Sunday night and into Monday. Snow level to 3000 feet, so I should be in a winter wonderland. I guess this means I'll be gathering more firewood, and making sure everything outside is secure. Living where I do is never dull, and we have to cope with nature's little tantrums. Maybe I should just throw some camping gear in the truck along with a mountain bike and head for the lower desert.

While I love my clean air and wonderful mountains, I don't like the seasons that bring snow and very cold temps. They are saying 3 to 4 inches of snow here. Posted on Dreamwidth
