Just a meal of fried cabbage... a hot skillet, a slice of bacon for flavor, and a small head of cabbage. Add some spice to taste, but keep it simple.

My cabbage

This came to my attention via Google+... an interesting lexicon for introverts and extroverts... a little humor was injected too. I know I'm an extrovert and I also know many of my friends are introverts. Lucky for me, most tolerate me... Posted on Dreamwidth
They were part of the old west.. now it seems we are seeing a new paradigm where people are going to become outlaws as the result of the current corporate owned power structure. We have a prison industrial complex ready for this reality, we have laws being written in secret to create penalties for crimes you will not know you have committed until they haul you away for indefinite detention,  all based on 'economic crimes' such as copyright violations, or some other 'crime' against 'intellectual property'. This is getting even more absurd, as companies are now using patents on natural biological processes as in medical research.  Seems that some individuals have certain unique genetic traits that can be exploited by medical science to create remedies for certain diseases and/or defects.  We have a whole new breed of scientist who search for these individuals, seek out the biological material that makes these people unique and special, then extracting the DNA, and patenting this. The individual does not get any benefit, yet the corporation now holds exclusive rights over that persons DNA.  There are more ridiculous examples out there, but the bottom line is we will all be soon considered outlaws, for growing our own food, for speaking out against injustice, for even questioning authority. The era of thought crime is approaching fast. I guess I'll be proud of being an outlaw until such time I can crush these people and corporations under the heel of my boot.  As we used to say in the 60's, Fuck the authorities, they don't represent us.

The life in prison is not easy, it was never meant to be easy. Now we face a aging prison population with special needs... and this program is innovative in how it handles this problem...

Watch this story... there are redeeming qualities in all individuals... even those convicted of murder.

this day

Feb. 26th, 2012 05:37 pm
The day was good. Worked around the house getting ready for the storm that they keep promising,,, I may have a winter wonderland tomorrow morning. I did a bit of bike maintenance, swapping out wheels and tires on two bikes, breaking down my cargo bike project, converting the bike back to just being an urban cruiser. I'm selling the Xtracycle Freeradical kit soon. Now that I have a proper cargo bike, don't need it. One cargo bike is enough.

Gathered some wood, split some wood, did some damage to some wood with a chainsaw...Filled some trash bags woth stuff destined for the dump.Covered anything I didn't want to get wet under tarps.

I got bread, milk, and even some candles and kerosene lamps in case I don''t have power. They are saying winds to 60 mph..

Now to think of dinner... and get a soup started. Posted on Dreamwidth
Yes, Monsanto markets to the home gardener... so be aware of the brands and varieties they own. It is bad enough to have to watch for GMO stuff, but they also have created a whole bunch of 'hybrid'' plants and are making those available to home gardeners. Be aware, and don't give any support to Monsanto. Posted on Dreamwidth
Illegal everything... it might just be Fox, but Jon Stossel points to one problem we have in this country, in fact many problems we have in this country. Posted on Dreamwidth
