Today

Today I did some work outside, clearing some mistletoe from an oak tree, however in this case the tree is so badly damaged that it will probably become firewood.

In other things, the more I read the news the more disappointed in this country I become. Is there another country I can move to? I think that all cops are racist pigs, that justice cannot be found within the United States, and that we are living in a fascist state.

For example a black man is killed by racist cops for no reason other than using his remote lifesaving device.

or this better be white or you may find yourself in jail for being in the hallways of your apartment building.

and Japan is sending us radiation and our government is hiding it from the public....

and in Torrance we have dumb and dumber... Posted on Dreamwidth
Yes, I did what I wanted today. I donated a bunch of old clothes to someone I knew that could use them (they were too big). I gave someone a fishing rod. I worked on one of my bikes. I started talking about CicLAvia on social networks. I sold a bicycle work stand. I listed two bikes on Craigslist. I also listed an Xtracycle FreeRadical kit on Craigslist. Got a few other things to do before the sun sets.

What's for dinner?

this day

The day was good. Worked around the house getting ready for the storm that they keep promising,,, I may have a winter wonderland tomorrow morning. I did a bit of bike maintenance, swapping out wheels and tires on two bikes, breaking down my cargo bike project, converting the bike back to just being an urban cruiser. I'm selling the Xtracycle Freeradical kit soon. Now that I have a proper cargo bike, don't need it. One cargo bike is enough.

Gathered some wood, split some wood, did some damage to some wood with a chainsaw...Filled some trash bags woth stuff destined for the dump.Covered anything I didn't want to get wet under tarps.

I got bread, milk, and even some candles and kerosene lamps in case I don''t have power. They are saying winds to 60 mph..

Now to think of dinner... and get a soup started. Posted on Dreamwidth
Yesterday and today... Yesterday did take a bike ride.. it was cooler but still comfortable. After returning home I made a trip to see the ocean, and on the way home I was stuck in a massive traffic jam on State Route 79 a few miles west of the junction with Riverside County S-3 in Radec (yes, it is cedar spelled backwards). It was a massive head on crash that closed the road for hours, and I detoured through Temecula, Winchester, Hemet, Mountain Center, and back to Anza. It was a long night.

Today dawned cold, and later wet... in fact it was not a day to ride a bike. Bikes are in the barn and temps hover around 30 degrees (F)... I did start to go to Rancho Mirage, but found snow on the windshield as I climbed the hill. Not wanting to play in snow and ice, I opted to stay home. I did follow the rally against the Kochs online but posts were scarce. I'm glad to see the progressive community getting active and the style changing to in your face
