a fishing adventure
Jul. 25th, 2012 08:34 amYesterday morning I departed on a fishing trip to my local lake. I loaded all the gear I was going to haul and then drove my truck to Lake Hemet Market. I purchased some essentials and some worms and made my way to the public side of the lake. I offloaded my gear and loaded my cargo bike. I then rode along the access road almost to the dam, and then down a narrow, steep ravine to the shoreline. The spot was great, the fish loved the worms, but I was just doing this trip for fun, so it was a catch and release day. I got two good sized trout in an hour from this spot. I will be back later this week.
The real adventure was getting back up the hill, that steep ravine became a weight lifting exercise, as I pushed and pulled my bike loaded with gear up to the access road for the return to the truck.
