Why is it that to be a Republican you have to demonstrate your ignorance and stupidity? If they are playing to their "base" then it does not bode well for this country. I also find libertarians strange people. They seem to be stuck in the wrong century. Then there are the bleeding heart liberals. I have a hard time today with politics. I grew up a conservative and was raised in Orange County California. We had John Birch Society meetings, Civil Defense drills, and defacto segregation. It wasn't till my senior year that we had a black student in our high school. The Hispanics lived in their Barrios with only a few who lived in other areas. The civil rights act was passed in 1964 but that had little effect in Orange County. However biased they the conservatives of that day were the never played the ignorance card. They weren't stupid either.

Now we have politicians of the Republican brand openly embracing ignorance and stupidity. You gave Congressional leaders appointing idiots to chairmanships of committees. It seems as if the Republicans are playing to the ignorant. It does not bode well for this country. It is going to be a long time till 2016. I hope we survive.
My doctor wanted to make a change in my meds. Not a big change just one medicine going from 750 mg to 1000 mg per tab. Unfortunately the higher dosage was not in my insurance formulary so the cost would have been $168 for a 90 day supply. I did my homework and decided with the help if a pharmacist to make that two 500 mg tabs daily for the same dosage. The cost was substantially less ...it cost me one dollar for a thirty day prescription. Total cost for 90 days will be $3.
