The Rise of Trump
Mar. 31st, 2016 12:37 amThe rise of Trump. This current popular uprising of Trump support is reflective of the insecurities of unskilled or undereducated whites in this changing employment scene. As equality was promoted (it is part of our Constitution ) white folk found they had to compete with minorities for jobs and educational opportunities. This left them feeling they had been discriminated against when in reality discrimination against minorities had been eliminated. They had lost part of their "white priviledge". These people have since felt they did not have anyone to represent their fears. Along comes a media idol who spouts the slogans these disaffected workers have been mulling in their minds for decades. He (Trump) has been playing these peoples fear and loathing to become the frontrunner in Republican race for president. Here is the real problem that exists. Trump cannot relate to the average worker. He has always lived a life of wealth and priviledge. He is ignorant of history or how modern society functions. But he is the master manipulator. He knows how to master the deal. He knows how to look like the victim or the self righteous hero. He also knows how to play the media, using his controversial remarks to garner time in the public eye. He uses this bully pulpit to gather more followers as brainwashed TV viewers cling to unrealistic values and see Trump as their salvation. What these products of the idiot box and AM talk radio are few. Most of America has moved on. Most of America see Trump as xenophobic narcissist. Trump has accomplished a lot. He has shown his disregard for the First Amendment, his disdain for democracy, his misogyny, and his lack of intelligence. While he is a rich man he has more in common with his followers than is readily apparent. He suffers from the same insecurities. He fears emerging minority entrepreneurs who are eclipsing his wealth and power. He uses vernacular of the street to describe anyone who he fears as losers or liars. He becomes a five year old when confronted with his immaturity. His famous "he started it" retort is what a five year old would say when caught doing something that might warrant a spanking. No he us not someone with the intelligence or social maturity to lead. He would not make America great. .
